Melanie's Maternity

Meet Melanie--a beautiful mother of 4 adorable children, soon-to-be 5, one of my very good friends, and a photographer as well. Most photographers will tell you that they are more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it (and I agree!). Needless to say, there was a bit of persuading involved in allowing me to do a maternity shoot for her. This was a special moment for me and I'm grateful that she did give me the opportunity. I confess that there were some uneasy nerves because not only is she an extremely good friend AND photographer, but she is my mentor and has taught me so much about photography. With this knowledge she's freely passed on, I have been able to soar past my own expectations and have grown incredible leaps and bounds within this passion of mine. She's very humble and will deny having any part of it, insisting it's all me. Nonetheless, I know that without her help I wouldn't be where I am today.

Despite her initial lack of optimism, she was pleasantly surprised and is very happy with the end result. I would have to agree! Love ya Mel!
