Hope everyone's new year has started off great and I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for me! Utah was awesome, we had so much fun and stayed quite busy. In fact, we had SO much fun that I still have not created my new website! Nonetheless, it isn't going to stop me from taking pictures! That is why I decided to temporarily put my old website back up. Of course I took a ton of picture out there, and THAT was quite a new experience for me. Lots of different adjusting to do because of the snow but every new experience teaches me that much more about photography!
I'd like to share something with past clients, future clients, or those of you who just like to follow me. After much thought, consideration, and prayer; my husband and I have decided to make a huge change in our family's lives and that is to sell our house. We plan to put it up on the market by April and we hope and pray that it sells before the new school year so Keilana can start at the school we prefer her to be at. So you can only imagine how busy our lives are going to get as we make the necessary changes and improvements to our home to get it ready for the market. I know quite a few people who have had their homes up for the sell in the last few years--some have taken as little as 2 weeks and others as long as 2 years. However, the main reason that we have decided to take this leap of adventure (and faith), is to follow the Lord's counsel from his Prophets to get out of debt, even it means doing something unusual, spur of the moment, or as some might consider it--crazy. That's okay though, we feel good about the decision and are ready to do it. I know the Lord will provide a way when we do what we are asked.
With that said, my prices and structure of my photography has also changed, so please take a quick look and check back for future changes as well. I will work on it as much as I can! To make things easier on myself, I am doing one packaged deal that includes the sitting fee (which covers my time, talent, travel, and edits), with a CD/copyright of the pictures. Also at this time, I am not going to do major events such as weddings, anniversies, or birthday parties.
And what would a post be without pictures?! So far MOST of pictures that I've posted are in color because I just like color photographs with vibrant colors. To change things up a bit, here are a couple of the kids in black and white and then a couple of my favorite shots I took in Utah.

The kids with Auntie Kellie. Love, love, love this picture. The background, the lighting, the spot was just perfect. I tried to recreate it a week later to take pictures of JUST the kids and it wasn't the same. It had snowed more and it was much colder and cloudy--the kids simply weren't up for it another photo shoot.

Thanks for following my passion, my love--my photography.
Vanessa! That's so cool and scary at the same time! I wish you the best getting your house on the market. Where are you moving to? No matter how much we hate it, change is always good for us! Maybe you enjoy it, but I hate change.
