Mr. C and Doubled Sweetness

Remember this little guy years ago? Well, he is all growed up now...

and he brought his twin baby sisters with him this time!

It was hot. It was humid. And luckily, my friend Heather didn't mind that my own three littles tagged along for pictures. By the way, thanks girl! It didn't last too long, but the girlies did really well dispite the extreme heat and humidity Georgia so graciously gives us at this time of year.

And the grand finale. Drum roll please...

How sweet are they in those little tutus?!

Short and Sweet

Short post this go around. I have 2 posts started and not finished. How do women find the time to blog every day? Mothers who run these lavish, posh, blogs/websites? Not to mention if they are photographers, or they take time to edit their pictures they post. I can't do it! I would be thrilled to blog every night about our happenings that day but when the kids go to bed, the ONLY thing I want to do is sit on my butt and watch a couple of episodes of That '70s Show.

Today was gorgeous with a nice over cast. An amazing, cool breeze that provided a peaceful feeling to our evening. The humidity was low, the sun was setting beyond the horizon and I just could NOT pass up the opportunity for some pictures. I hope my readers don't get annoyed of seeing mostly my baby boy but he doesn't put up a fight to take pictures and he is immobile, for now, so it makes life easy to get my picture fill. Not to mention I am a little biased their first year as it does pass quickly and I know this is so cliche but they DO grow up way to fast. My little buddy wasn't even in the greatest of moods but I went for it. Even if just one picture out of the 20-30 I take turn out, then it was all worth it. My mind can be taken right back to that very evening when we were settling into our calm, the sun was starting to set, and the light was just right to add to the serenity. It's my favorite time of day, it's becoming my favorite time to photograph! The noise of passing cars, the squeals of our kid neighbors, the rustling of the wind through the trees, life was good.

I say he is immobile, but not for long. Check out what he's been working on in the last month!

I'm beginning to wonder when and if he'll put two and two together. For now, I'm enjoying his inability to maneuver around on all fours.

8 Months

My blog hasn't changed from the last post other than this little guy is 8 months old now! His photo shoot will be coming up next. I'm hoping to get my photography back and running soon, hence the revamping of the website!

Here's Our Little One

Thanks to my fellow photog friend for helping me out with the pictures of Mr. K! (I swiped these from her website.) He was five days old here.

Here is one that I took at 4 days old:

And Mr. K at 3 weeks: Thank goodness he hasn't changed much other than he is a little longer and maybe a pound heavier. I'm soaking in that newborn look and feel as long as I can!

I tried really hard to take some pictures without the horrid, green, round, disc in his mouth but he was very jumpy and wasn't happy about being nakey.

Wood Family

I LOVE doing sessions for family! This is my cousin and his family. We had a late and rough start unfortunately and ran into some difficulties with the location we were at. FYI, if you plan on using a campus as a location to shoot at, make sure to check if there are any terms, conditions or fees involved! At least that's the way it was for this specific campus. We did end up getting some great shots dispite the circumstances!

Miller Kids

Just a quick disclaimer that I've mentioned before, I'm not happy with blogger and how my pictures are displayed. I lose so much quality and sharpness to my pictures when uploading.

Anyway, on to the goodies. My cousin and I were finally able to work out a day to get together for a photo shoot. It's long over due and between the weather, sicknesses, and schedules, we have had to put it off for almost 2 months! It couldn't have turned out to be a better day though and I really liked the location. I would LOVED to have gotten more but kids are kids and when they are finished, you don't argue. Both littles were patient and Miss L started to get more comfortable with me towards the middle of it (isn't that the way it always works out though, some of us just have a warming up period. I know I do!). Mr. K, what a sweet angel that was passing out smiles to everyone that would talk to him and give him attention. Glad we were able to get together today Linds--I had a great time. By the way, your baby girl looks SO much like you.

Taylor & J.C.

Young love is refreshing, and was a super fun session for me! I really do love photographing children, but it's also good to change things up a bit and this couple was just the trick. After two years of dating, and prom pictures as their last documentation of their relationship, Taylor and J.C (spelling?, sorry!), decided it was time for some updated photos. I'm so glad they chose me to do it because I enjoyed every moment. I admit since 90% of my sessions have been family and children, I was nervous to pose a couple...a young couple in love. I think it turned out well and we ALL became more at ease towards the middle of it. Thanks again you two, I hope you like them!

How fun for a Grandma to have all of the little ones together and photographed!
